Wherever you need to set something up, from a picnic for food to a display for a flea market, portable tables come in handy.
The best types of portable tables are ones that fold and become almost flat. They are not very heavy, so that they can be carried, even by a small person, and they set up easily. They can have metal legs and a vinyl top, or be all wooden, or even all plastic.
There are rectangular tables of all sizes, and these are great for larger art displays, crafting items, or books. They can, of course, also be used in parks for picnics and games.
Square tables are typically for games like card games, mahjong, and so on. But they are also very convenient for setting up snacks in a living room or den for a small gathering.
If your table is not very sturdy, you will need to lean it against the wall, so that when it shakes it does not move much. You can even anchor the two legs that are against the wall somehow with strong tape, if you need to. This is handy if you have lots of children running around, or a big dog. It is just extra security so that what is on top of the table does not end up on the floor.
During the holidays, everyone needs an extra portable table. It can be for a buffet style meal for get togethers, and you can even place gifts and decorations on top. Lighted candles are nice, but remember that portable tables may not be so sturdy, so a flameless candle is more practical.

You will wonder what you ever did without your portable table. It will be so useful for everything indoors, and so much outdoors, as well. What about a barbeque? One always needs more space for the food before it hits the grill, the paper plates and plastic forks, napkins, and so on. It always seems like there is not enough space to place things onto.
